Our Owner Developer Matthew C. Schilowitz

 

Between 1985 and 2000 Matthew Schilowitz built a large real estate construction and development company on the eastern end of Long Island New York . In that time he was responsible for the construction and development of hundreds of single-family homes, including the creation of 7 residential developments and development of several commercial properties.

 

In 2004 Matthew acquired the famed Acanto Hotel and operated it as one of the most successful boutique hotels in Playa del Carmen.
In 2009 The Acanto Hotel was torn down to make way for the new Acanto Condo Hotel.

 

Now many guests and fans of Acanto can be an owner of an Acanto Condo and benefit from the hotel services as well as earn a high return on the investment.

 

Matthew also owns and operates 4 Residential and commercial Buildings in Playa del Carmen and is currently planning the expansion and development of the Acanto brand on 21 acres located on the Caribbean Sea in Eleuthera Bahamas
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

 

He is a Founder, Builder and Trustee of The Hampton Synagogue, The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, The North American Board of Rabbis and other not for profit causes.
